About Me

Timileyin Okoya

AI & Robotics Researcher · Engineer · Educator

I build intelligent systems that work outside the lab — autonomous robots, computer vision, and low-cost IoT aimed at problems that are concrete, local, and unsolved. My doctoral research develops decentralised reinforcement learning for task scheduling in multi-agent robotic systems.

I move between academia and applied engineering, with collaborations spanning Europe and Africa. I have represented Nigeria at the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Finals — proof that meaningful innovation can be built from Africa.

What I Do

Five Disciplines. One Focus.

Where artificial intelligence, rigorous research, practical engineering, teaching, and technology strategy meet — turning advanced ideas into working, real-world results.

01

AI & Robotics Specialist

Designing intelligent systems and autonomous robotics that turn cutting-edge research into real-world capability.

02

Researcher

Investigating emerging technologies, testing hypotheses, and publishing findings that move the field forward.

03

Engineer

Building reliable, scalable systems — from concept and architecture through to production deployment.

04

Educator

Teaching and mentoring the next generation of engineers through courses, workshops, and hands-on guidance.

05

Technology Strategist

Advising teams and organisations on strategy, adoption, and making technology deliver measurable value.

Research & Recognition

Published. Presented. Recognised.

Peer-reviewed work, international collaboration, and a track record of recognition across AI, robotics, IoT, and intelligent systems.
